DirectTrust was subcontracted to deploy infrastructure and services to support a root of trust that allows for certificates to be issued for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® (FHIR®) endpoints in the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™ (TEFCA®) network.
Per the DirectTrust Community X.509 Certificate Policy: FHIR Certificates are issued to entities for secure data exchange using the FHIR standards. Qualified Health Information Networks® (QHINs™) must authorize TEFCA participants eligible to receive a TEFCA FHIR certificate(s) prior to issuance.
The list of approved Certificate Authorities is maintained on the Direct Trust website along with the Certificate Policy and Certificate Profile.
RCE is proud to introduce the designated Qualified Health Information Networks.
